Any question about "worth it" depends on individual preference. I've always questioned the value of flying an extra round trip to DUB or some nearby place on the Continent for those flying LHR-US East Coast. But, on the other hand, Asia is a different issue.

But, that is just me.

It gets into the entire question of whether CW is "worth it" in the first place. That too is subjective.
