Offensive? really?
I guess some people on here are very quick to go to various social media channels to point out their negative experience, but don't dare ask to write a positive one.
Too often, people, including myself, don't take the time to write positive reviews. I guess it may take some energy to write a positive review in which one does not get anything back in return, i.e., extra points, etc.
However, I can understand why a hotel would want some positive attention when warranted.
With all the junk mail I get in my email, I personally would not be offended by a hotel asking nicely if I would consider writing a review on trip advisor.
I have benefited from others writing on it, and I certainly don't mind giving back info as regards to my experience.
But, alas, different strokes for different folks.
