In general, though, I agree with the sentiments of the OP, if not as passionately. With the removal of the moving sidewalks from C, it can be a 15 minute walk from security to the furthest gates, whereas my mainline AA flights are no more than 5. With the current renovations of T1, I have waited close to 15 minutes to get through the Precheck line during my last few trips there, compared to the 5 or less I wait in the T3 lines.

The location of the food court in T3 means I can actually sit and eat my Frontera even if the seating is full, whereas the T1 location is usually packed with people waiting for their food.
I tried it last week for breakfast, and it was very good with no wait for a table. That's worth the extra dollars IMHO. But the service was still the same crappy airport host.
