I sent an email to the Ritz GM to kindly explain that it was disappointing that the rooms/suites with private roof gardens were not a category of their own, thus they were difficult to book. Today the deputy guests relations manager gave me a call. She tried to explain that they would do their best but they would never write and make a commitment. She tried to convince me that the main reason was that if a guest staying in one of this room/suite was extending his stay then the room/suite would not be available anymore. Am I the only one to think that this excuse is really stupid? I replied that if a guest would book the imperial suite he would expect to stay in the imperial suite, even if the previous guest attempted to extend his stay. I gave up, clearly I will not stay at the Ritz Paris. Even the reservation team is a major failure.
