Trying to cancel an Avios booking on BA and it keeps erroring out.

From "My Executive Club", go to "Manage My Booking", select booking and "Cancellation options for this booking", "Continue", type in CC # for security, "Confirm Cancellation" ... about 10-15 secs later, I get this:

Error
There was a problem with your request, please try again later.



Flight is over 3 days away. It shows the correct amounts for the refund on the conformation page, but won't process it (Total cash refund: $ 0.00 (US Dollars) Avios refund: 7500). I have tried this quite a few times in the past 2 hours on two separate bookings ... both on desktop and mobile ending in the same result.

Can anyone help or is there a way around this?
