Has anyone had RT flights recently where EQM/RDM were calculated by both the fare method and distance method? As in one leg is calculated by fare, the return leg by distance?

I just flew LGA-MIA-LGA this weekend and checked my account this morning and this is what I see:

AMERICAN AIRLINES 1389 Y LGA MIA Method: Fare
8/19/16
EQM/EQS 1,097 / 1
Base Miles 625
Bonus Miles 375
Total Award Miles 1,000

AMERICAN AIRLINES 1367 Y MIA LGA Method: Distance
8/21/16
EQM/EQS 1,646 / 1
Base Miles 1,097
Bonus Miles 659
Total Award Miles 1,756

I'm currently Plat, total fare for this flight was $337.20, no taxes or fees. Error from AA's side?
