I second this. If you value your own time, forget about it. Be happy for the upgrade and forget about the miles you missed. The TK CS will most likely just mess it up even more, if you call them, and chances are you end up without miles at all :-)
I'd say the same thing. After banging my head against the wall trying to get miles reinstated that were erroneously removed from my account a few years back I decided to chalk it up as a loss. I've handled similar things successfully with other airlines but with TK it is better to give up.
