So here's another question. When I have come in to Sydney before I can't say I remember there being a domestic transfer desk. Are you sure there is an actual ticketing desk with people to talk to, or is it really just a bag drop area where your bags are forwarded on to final destination?

Thanks!
Hi woodduck,

Just to allay your fears (!), there is a domestic check-in area adjacent the International Terminal (co-located on the ground floor) a short walk from exiting the customs hall, per eminere's link.

The CSEs at this check-in area seem to have greater leeway for getting you called forward on your domestic sector (per QueEff's post) than either the Domestic Terminal check-in or service desk in the Lounge, almost negating the need for a Ticketing Desk. However, should you need one, according to the SYD airport website, there's a Ticketing Office upstairs in the International Terminal in the landside of the Departures Hall, close to check-in area B.

Regards,

BD
