The only other one that's posted to date is LHR-JFK:
EQM: 3,452
RDM: 1,120
Bonus: 1,344
Total: 2,464
So this is less bad than JFK-MIA, but still only 36% of what I would have earned a month ago. I wonder what algorithm they are using for splitting the ticket price between segments? Obviously not prorated by EQMs.
All my miles have now posted for my outbound trip.
LHR-JFK: 1,120 RDM
JFK-MIA: 85 RDM
MIA-GRU: 310 RDM
Total: 1,515 or 3,333 including EXP bonus.
I was booked in N class on the outbound and in L class on the return, so I guess I don't know if I've been shortchanged until I have seen the whole thing, but it isn't much. The total, 1,515 RDMs, is only marginally more than the 1,467 miles I would have earned if I had booked the lowest fare classes on the non-stop LHR-GRU with BA or LATAM. With V class or above, I would have earned twice as much.
An interesting data point, for me: If I had chosen to fly with a UA partner such as LH, and credited the flights to Mileage Plus, I would have earned 50% of actual miles in RDM + 50% gold bonus. In other words, with a connection in Frankfurt, I would have banked 4,872 miles with UA rather than 3,333 by taking a long detour via the US with AA. Certainly, the only remaining reason to do that is if I have SWUs to apply.
