I'd gauge it differently, especially on long haul flights - 40% are awesome and deserve a raise, 40% are salvageable and need to be properly motivated/led, and 20% need to be canned. On my last TCON the ratio was 60%/30%/10%, a truly exemplary flight crew.

Oh, and when you were talking about a Captain Denny flight, it was more like 70%/30%/0%.
