Unfortunately, assuming there's no way to reroute the bag to the final destination now that it's checked in, OP's best course of action is to head straight for the business class check-in desk the minute the bag comes off the belt (or even to curbside check-in if there's no line and it's still more than 60 minutes to departure), and ask to be rebooked onto the later flight if s/he is past the cutoff time.
