Assuming yes, I would suggest:
Talk to your personal banker and if necessary apply for Diners as a new card

I was told that if I already had a HDFC credit card, we could not apply for the Diners, as they only allow 1 credit card to be held for each customer.

I have the Jet-HDFC, so they said that the only option was to convert that one into the Diners card. I haven't had time to do this yet.
