I have no problem with the pax tax in HKG
(And you made me reread my OP looking for clues that would suggest otherwise.)

I've been in and through HKG about 9 times the recent months and 8 @ SIN

They are fantastic airports and worth learning from
Walking through SIN the other day I was reminded again how amazing that place is.
