Just a FYI for those of you buying new tickets to HKG

Last year, HKG announced they want to build a 3rd runway and of course, a new pax tax is the way to go.

For those doing long-haul in F/J, it's $180 HKD, which is $29.88 CAD today.

It will appear on AC tickets with the code G3

(I actually explained it to the AC agent. She did not know as it was not on their list)


From SCMP for other flights, cabins, transit pax:

"Departing passengers travelling in first or business class on long-haul flights will pay HK$180. Those travelling in first or business class on short-haul flights, or on long-haul flights in economy class, will pay HK$160. Economy class passengers on short-haul flights will pay HK$90. Those in transit will pay only HK$70."
