I also attended the event last night at EWR. To my surprise the armrest, although height adjustable, does not go all the way down to extend the sleeping space when the seat is in the all flat position. I am 6'3", 240 lbs and while I was fine when I tested the bulkhead seat, I had trouble when lying in an aisle seat.
IMHO it is better to keep the armrest up to generate more elbow space underneath the armrest. As others have mentioned, all in all not a bad product compared to other airlines'hard product but definitely not top of the line and slightly surpassing merely those airlines that have already reverse herringbone seats on offer. Especially for big guys like me the seats feel overall only slightly less cramped than the pmCO seats but definitely much better than the pUA 2-4-2 seats. While the seats are longer when in flat bed position the arm rests positions make the space more cramped where it is needed the most: around the shoulders and especially elbow area.
Also, the foot hole for the (angled) aisle seats are narrower but still longer than the legacy seats as I was able to stretch out on my back. Bulkhead seats will remain best seats in the house, followed by straight (windowed) and then angled aisle seats.
Last but not least, a shot out to Barbara and Hu(?) for the lovely conversation last night. Feel free to pm and connect on FT.
