Wine List

Champagne

Taittinger Comtes De Champagne Blanc De Blancs
Champagne Taittinger began in the early 1930s, Pierre Taittingers flair for aesthetic elegance and an entrepreneurial vision helping to establish it rapidly as a fine producer of Champagne. With vineyards in the Montagne de Reims, Cote des Blancs and the Aube, Champagne Taittinger continues to embody the precise balance of power and drive softened with elegance and finesse.

Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill
Founded in 1849 by Pol Roger this esteemed Champagne house has always been highly regarded for the elegance, consistency and finesse it achieves across the range of cuvees it produces. With vineyards across many of the premium areas of Champagne this house has the ability to source the perfect grapes for the perfect cuvee. Maurice, the son of Pol had a particular love for the richness of the Pinot Noir grape, this was a passion he shared with Sir Winston Churchill a well-known devotee of the house.

Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame
The innovative and visionary talent of Mme Clicquot herself has made this Champagne label one of the most recognised and successful of the region. Her determination to share her wine with new markets enabled her to first ship the 1811 vintage to the Imperial court in St Petersburg. A little over 200 years later the house of Veuve Clicquot has many strong relationships with growers and vineyard owners all over Champagne.

Champagne

Veuve Clicquot 2006 La Grande Dame, Champagne, France
Great vintage wines from this house have a dominance of full rich Pinot noir grapes; the Prestige Cuvee of La Grande Dame seeks more finesse and restraint from a higher percentage of Chardonnay. Complexity, bright acidity and richer in style than previous years it shows stone fruit intertwined with layers of toast and nougat. Undeniable pedigree is revealed in its length and persistence of flavour.

White

Leeuwin Estate Art Series Riesling 2014, Margaret River, Western Australia
From an iconic estate that paved the way for many winegrowers in the West. Leeuwin Estate has a hefty and well-deserved reputation. This Riesling shows aromatic restraint which comes in the form of lime, fresh camomile and confit citrus peel. A well-padded palate echoes these as flavours framed by delicate herbal traces.

Gembrook Hill Sauvignon Blanc 2013, Yarra Valley, Victoria
Ian and June Marks decided in 1983 that this patch of land in the Yarra Valley was precisely what they had been looking for to express a cool climate wine style. This Sauvignon Blanc is one of the most elegant examples of this variety in Australia. Sensitive work in the vineyards helps to render exotic tropical fruits and balance them with more savoury herb and wild currant leaf allowing for poise and restraint. A deft hand in the winery helps to build gentle texture and weight making this a very mineral wine with true gastronomic appeal.

Tyrrell's Wines Vat 47 Hunter Chardonnay 2011, Hunter Valley, New South Wales
"A classic Hunter Chardonnay with yellow tropical fruit and hints of spice that provides the foundation for the richness of this wine. With grapes entirely sourced from the Short Flat vineyard and wine aged in 30% new French oak barrels, it has lots of everything with some retained acidity letting the brightness peak out from beneath the creamy oak."

Red

Seville Estate Old Vine Reserve Pinot Noir 2013, Yarra Valley, Victoria
The planting of the first wines at Seville Estate in 1972 marked the rebirth of the Yarra Valley. This is a beautifully perfumed wine with a complex palate. The wine is luscious with hints of pepper, nutmeg and spices. With fine tannins and balanced acidity which delivers a elegant wine with a long finish.

St Hallett Old Block Shiraz 2012, Barossa Valley, South Australia
One of the Barossa Valley's flagship wines. The Old Block is made form vines that are between 80-100yrs old. Deep black crimson in colour and aroma's of plum, liquorice and a hint of spiced pepper. This medium bodied wine has finely textured tanins and beautifully balanced acidity, delivering a wine with a long and soft finish on the palate. Can be enjoyed today or cellared for 20-25 years.

Ferngrove The Stirlings Cabernet Shiraz 2010, Frankland River, Western Australia
Dense and dark are the first things that spring to mind when looking at and smelling this wine. It's concentrated and the nose is packed with dark rich fruits and supported by some toasty oak. The palate doesn't let up delivering an explosion of baked blackcurrants and plum. There's enough tannin to add support to this rich fruit. Power.

Dessert

Mount Horrocks Cordon Cut Riesling 2015, Clare Valley, South Australia
Mount Horrocks Cordon Cut Riesling is one of Australia's iconic dessert wines. The 2015 vintage is rich and luscious with hints of zesty lime, pear and mandarin. Complex and well balanced acidity delivers an outstanding wine which can be enjoyed today or for the next 10 years.
