There is a lot of dismay on this forum (rightly so) about BA being turned into a LCC and all the ambient/ rubbish offerings.
If you can change airlines then do so.
But if you are locked in due to corporate contract/ credit card accrual/ FFP then why not start visiting the T5 eateries before you travel, such as Pret, or Caviar house if that is more your style.

There are many other food options in the BA Heathrow terminals as well, just as there are in outstations when flying in the other direction.
When travelling for work, you should be able to charge these expenses for work travel, on the basis that a pack of crisps won't do for dinner.
If there are no outstation terminal alternatives, consider asking your hotel to make up a "Travel Pack" of edible goodies to take with you on the plane (again if travelling for work this should be able to be charged to work). Some hotels have this on their room service menu already, I recall seeing this on the room service menu of the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong.
Other posters please feel free to post other practical suggestions for when travelling on BA these days.
