Go to
www.ual.com and log in as a guest, then go to Plan an Itinerary. You will then see a section that says "City Codes" or "Airport Codes". Open one of these and then reduce it so that it sits at the bottom of your screen all the time. Then you can simply look at it when you see an airport abbreviation you don't recognize.
I've been on FlyerTalk at least a year and a half and I certainly don't know them all either. Sometimes I even intentionally put down the wrong one, just to be
ornery.
