Sorry, Nashville may be (kinda) hipster at the moment, but an HP there shouldn't be this much. Even the River North and Loop HPs in Chicago and the HP Waikiki are only Cat. 3.
Yea it just changed. I booked when it was 12k a night. It is ridiculous for a HP, but rates regularly run $300+ a night. Hotels in Nashville are insane right now. There are Hilton properties that regularly run $400+.
