So we booked 1-way award tickets on Tuesday morning. I later realized that we didn't want the flights we chose. You CANNOT cancel award tickets online, even during the 24 hour cancellation window. The website still wants to charge the $150/ticket for re-deposit.
Needless to say, I called in Wednesday morning, cancelled all tickets and was told that the miles should be re-deposited within 72 hours.
It has been 30 hours thus far, still no miles. In the past, when we have been forced to pay the fee, the miles are there instantaneously. This leads me to believe that someone sitting at a desk has to manually do the re-deposit.
This airline, sometimes. #smh.
