Be wary. I had an AE ticket a few years back and it correctly identified that there was a lap infant. No problem with boarding the AC flights. However, both LX and LH had no record of my son in their version of the ticket. Thankfully, I had a copy of my AE reservation and the check-in agents were able to fix the issue...eventually. Mind you, it was a pain to have to go through that four times (YUL, ZRH at the gate, FLR and FRA).
