hi. i'm considering spending a night at KIX (courtesy of JAL) on the way to LAX next week. the new search function helped me quickly identify a very informative thread on the topic at hand, but was not sufficiently conclusive insofar as departure tax is concerned.

do connecting passengers have to pay departure tax on forced overnights? if yes, are ATMs prevalent at KIX? how about credit cards?
