Here at the PH now ... having a nice stay, but some minor things have made this stay not as nice as the previous one. For starters, we were given a room without a shower head, so the handy-man had to come and install a shower head within minutes of us settling into our room (my parents had just arrived from SFO, so were a bit tired and wanted a shower). Obviously a minor thing, but check-in staff didn't inform us that this was going to happen, so it was a bit abrupt.
Also, after coming back from a walk, our room smelled like marijuana, which was a bit disappointing. Then, after working out in the gym, we went into the men's changing room, which the Spa attendant said we were welcome to do. But, when we went in, another Spa attendant came running at us and said, "you can't go in there, you need to stay over there," pointing towards the exit. It was a bit awkward and rude.
Other than that, room and bathroom are still impeccable, and this time of year is quite nice in Paris (very quiet bc of vacances, seems to be fewer tourists, perhaps bc of terrorism concerns...). We also received a nice bottle of champagne with a note for my parents' wedding anniversary & mom's birthday, which was sweet. Wouldn't say it's worth the price in $$$, but if you have a ton of points to burn / something to celebrate, I'd say go for it. Otherwise, with cash, I'd go to George V, The Ritz, Le Meurice, etc.
