I just received this email, too, departing from PHX.

I just booked a trip 2 weeks ago that involves LAX-HKG-LAX in November in Y. My SWU cleared on purchase for LAX-HKG but I am waitlisted for HKG-LAX.

I have never flown AA anywhere internationally.

Almost ALL of my 154,000 EQMs this year have been on BA. Literally......I think I have earned like 2,000 miles on AA metal.

I am brand new to AA/OW this year.
