If that is right, then how do you have any sort of case for a BPG? On that basis, BA has done nothing wrong and there's nothing they have to make amends for.

Or was it not as simple as that?
Hi Globaliser, sorry for my waffle.

a) Correct I couldn't find any mention of Avios in their T&Cs
b) Incorrect, their T&Cs do not make any mention of Avios
c) Due to Avios not being mentioned in the T&Cs or exclusions, I thought it would be OK. However I was wrong as it says in the terms that full payment must be made by credit/debit card in the currency of my departure country.

The case I tried to make was their terms did not mention Avios - it could have been clearer. I mistakenly thought that paying with my credit card, plus £50 worth of redeemed Avios would be allowed, I was wrong.

BA have done nothing wrong apart from not explicitly mention Avios, but they can easily rectify the sticky situation of my own doing by returning he Avios (7,500), charging the full fare (+£50), then price matching the competitor fare (-£50) and the total comes to £417.05 which I have already paid. I would be left in the exact same position as I'm now, all rules followed, but with the Avios returned.
