"Gate Pass" is a USA concept. UA does not issue gate passes outside the USA. Access will depend on local government / airport regulations -- maybe check in LH forum.

The old standby is to buy a fully refundable ticket to gain access and cancel after security. Whether or not that is frowned upon is another issue for LH / Germany forum.

Can move this to the LH if wished?
