Clearly you had a rough time, we all evaluate what is good and what is bad and clearly you evaluated your experience being on the rough side and to my read it was not a good experience.
Was that all UNITED? Probably not, but clearly they did not help the situation either.
My only thought (and to be clear, I am a Physician, not a business traveler and while I travel more than some individuals, I travel nowhere near the amount that you all do.) is are any of us "refugees"? UNITED is a business, I knew that from day one going in, I mean nothing to them, maybe years ago I meant slightly more, but I doubt it, I am merely a $ (and a small one at that).
I do not think anyone at UNITED said our changes are going to make refugees, they probably said our changes are going to better (or maybe more accurately hopefully better) our bottom line. It is not excuse for a poor airline, it is IMHO a reality of the situation. UNITED, nor DELTA, nor American, nor any major corporation is my friend and the changes that they make are for their benefit or at least they believe are for their benefit, not mine (that is unless the two are one in the same which is rarely the case).
