Easier said than done, it seems. The process doesn't work well. At the start, it told my partner that his original application didn't exist (he took a screenprint of it so he knows it did). He had to start again, and has to wait 72 hours between each online action. If we don't get this sorted in time I don't see us going back to Canada again. We don't need to be there and there's plenty of other places on our bucket list that are more efficient and welcoming. I remember when ESTA came in; we had no qualms about applying and no problems with it. The introduction of eTA seems to have been a major cockup.
