Great review - sums up our experience last year. We had the same room type but our balcony was facing the other way (do you recall your room no so I can request it next time) but still had river views. Did you get a large white chocolate elephant as part of your welcome gift - it was a shame to eat there with all the great food so I saved it (the cake shop in the lobby gave me a box and bag to pack it in) - unfortunately I left it in the taxi in HK!
