I have been asked what is the proper tipping in Europe to which I explain that while it's not mandatory like the US it is nice to tip a couple of Euros, as was said a couple for say bags and lunch 5 or so. Just being a nice person rather than an "ugly American" many times goes a lot farther to many Europeans
Of course it's not like it is in the US, but yes, anywhere from a couple of euros to ~30 or so, depending on where you're eating.
