Fare conditions say changes are 240 GBP, but it seems crazy that I'd need to pay a change fee to simply buy up to another class of service on the same flights/dates. United even has a computer command to override the change fee when you upfare. I sent a DM to the AF Twitter account asking if I could waive the change fee. It's expensive enough to upgrade already!
But AF is not united, and if the ticket you bought has a change fee then it applies even if you modify to a higher booking class.... I once paid 120€ change fee and 60€ fare difference for a Y-PE "upgrade"
It is only waived if you upgrade, either with Miles or at OLCI/DOD or by any other offer you might get from AF.
