I think I can top your situation for J award futility. Try J award availability from Athens to Philadelphia.

April 2004 - February 2005, every month = 0 seats available

I did a quick check of paid seat availability for the last two weeks of April 2004 and the last two weeks of June 2004, and a paid J seat was available every day. I would guess that with the possible exception of a few holidays, paid J seats are available on this route every day from April 2004 - February 2005.

I can maybe see how a month or so would be blocked out this summer due to the Olympics, but no availability for an entire year?
