I've had two phone chargers stop working immediately after plugging them into the USB ports on Air Canada flights. It's as if they just got fried. Unfortunately I do not remember the type of plane as it was quite a while ago. Needless to say, I just avoid using the ports now and stick to using my own portable battery chargers.
