UA and SFO cannot arrange, as they have done at other airports, to offer screening ahead of check-in? TSA has different rules for SFO than Seattle?
It's handled differently all over the place. Some airports do the "swipe" of every bag, some CTX every bag before it goes down the shoot, some do the random searches after the bag goes down the shoot, etc etc etc I may be wrong, but from what I've seen it's not an airline thing as to how it gets handled, but rather a TSA and/or airport thing.
