Yes but are they going to let anyone off in DUB? In this situation they're fairly usually keen than everyone in place, and more particularly their checked baggage (which presumably doesn't apply to you). Assuming you are not allowed off, I wouldn't call BA at this point, but at LHR see what they can do about rebooking the two sectors. You could perhaps use the time to work out when a DUB ticket would next be useful.
