Good luck with this - I had a similar situation with a business class ticket and MH refused to rebook on a suitable flight despite plenty of options. I ended up cancelling and getting refund via credit card dispute of the charge. Had to book much more expensive flight with a different airline, never flying MH again...
Calling is the best option, email is useless, either you get no response or it takes days.
