Well, getting an upgrade on ANC-SEA varied from day to day and time to time. It is relatively easy for those redeye flights from ANC to SEA, and certain odd times, but in general, it is rather difficult at daytimes...

If it is worthwhile to use guest MVP upgrades, I will save them for transcon.

Meals in F remain the same -- full hot breakfast and dinner, and lunch is a choice of cold salad or hot entree. Meals in Y are downgraded to just hot sandwich and chips. From 6am till 7pm, you will get a meal in both F and Y, but after 7pm, F class gets the cheese plate and Y class get nothing. On redeye flight (after 10pm), there is no meals in F and Y.
