Funny enough the only time that I got a sincere one of these special greetings/messages was when I flew with Finnair (although I have no status in their FFP). The chap was a real pro and made it sound completely genuine, champagne for me and my partner. BA cabin crew up until now seem to have made it sound as if they're going through the motions, which of course they are.

Handing over the iPad for the passenger to read the message themselves is a new low!
