Thanks for that input. Agree about the phone rules and drinks. The pre-flight customer service via telephone is atrocious also. I was on hold for nearly 30 minutes, and then they simply hung up on me without ever speaking to a live human.

You had pretty much zero danger of riding in a 744, by the way, because they have been completely phased out from scheduled North America routes for around 3 years.

Thanks. That is what I thought also. However, when I went to make my seat assignments on the internet, it was listed as a B744. Then, I went to that website flight tracking, and it listed my plane as a B744. It appeared that they used a B748 2/3 days, and on the third day, it was a B744. That's why I was concerned. But thankfully, it all worked out.
