The journey from the Tom Bradley International Terminal to Terminal 6 is usually walkable. In fact, I'd much rather walk the roughly half mile than take the usually smelly and noisy terminal shuttle bus.
I just walked from T1 to T5 recently (landside, of course). It was absolutely fine, but then again I'm a walker. Wouldn't want to do it in a rush.
