I flew on one of the interim paint scheme A320s (G-MIDZ) about 10 days ago and I noticed on boarding (at a remote stand) that only 'bmi' was now on the side of it and the 'british midland' gone. A quick look at Airliners.net convinced me that I hadn't been seeing things or imagining that naming had not been different so we are now on interim scheme mark 2. Over the 10 days I've been on six sectors and not once have I heard 'British Midland' referred to. Seems like they've finally dumped their heritage in favour of three letters. Of course, they can call themselves what they like but in law they still have to trade as British Midland Airways Limited!
