You should be fine. Have your flight number ready. They may even be able to through-check you with boarding passes if your names are the same (which they should be) and you are booked together on both records. After the through-check works - the bag would be automatic. Start with asking them to enter the ongoing flight number to request the boarding pass - then after that it's easy. If that does not work - have a printout of your next segment - so they can manually add it. Then you may want to double check in Toronto at the transfer desk that they have your tag numbers and if not - to manually enter them.
