Well, I think what you're getting ready to see is AA jumping on the paid food in Y bandwagon. They and AS are about the only airlines that are providing coach "meals" (read: inedible snacks) any more on mid-cons. I think the paid stuff is breathing hard and coming soon to a shiny metal tube near you.
