You will no doubt have much more experience than me - is a month a sensible time to resolve a chargeback on a US card (ignoring for a moment the question of the partial element)?
I only ever had one US card. You are right that ordinary chargebacks are a matter of minutes rather than months, I was exclusively addressing the added complexity here though.

Yes ... but here not even the all too common rant-then-relinquish or the ask-triviality model worked. Things did dissolve rather than being resolved.
I'd would have liked to know what the OP was told upon check in and if assistance was rendered.
