For award travel, you can always change the day/time of the flight without penalty, except that you can't change the routing (e.g., change origin/destination, change/add connection points). So assuming that you'd be happy with another SFO-ANC nonstop, you're fine, assuming there's XY inventory available. Others may have experience re: opening up award inventory when there's been a schedule change...seems possible that they might do it.

I kind of doubt this; you can certainly do it if you pay the $75 fee (but if you're concerned about the $10 security fee, I'm guessing you're not keen on dropping the $75!). But maybe others have experience here too...
