People refer to doing a "chaser" with SIA which I presume means calling up the SIA call centre and try & get the waitlist cleared. Just wondering how far ahead of the departure date I should try this.
Do you have an alternative if your waitlist doesn't clear?
SQ typically waits till 2-3 weeks before actual departure date before they start looking at the waitlist.
Unless you have a compelling reason why you must get on this flight, I wouldn't send a chaser too far out, as they would definitely fill the flight with revenue passengers first as much as possible.
