Both the QR and CheckMyTrip seating plans show seats as occupied even if they are blocked. You need to use other software, such as Expertflyer.com to see the difference between occupied and blocked seats.

QR block seats besides certain passengers. Usually High status PC or OW passengers or full fare passengers. In this case QR may have blocked your companion seat so you still have both window and Aisle access. The only way to find out is look it up on a website that differentiates between occupied and blocked.
