Beats me, but it's extremely annoying to have to eUp rather than use the complimentary FP upgrade

It's one thing to not sell 6 J seats if Y is oversold by 20, but Y was not oversold.

I've actually seen this specific issue several times on SFO-YVR, so I have different experiences based on what state my booking was in when I encountered the J0.
