No. Not for South East Asia carriers, just for Chinese flag carriers.
Funny thing, it is always on these carriers that I see people standing up right after touchdown sometimes even before exiting the runway.
Yes. Chinese do his even on CX or SQ flights, it is quite cute to watch. My favourite is entire families lining up before the door before the actual touchdown. It is getting better though, I think.

Not 'almost' ... the paradigm change happened about 3 years ago, ever since the seat belt sign is on solid on CA. From gate to gate ... making it entirely meaningless.
