For the starter I had the salmon plate which was excellent, my wife had the quinoa salad from the afternoon tea which was nice. For the main meal my wife picked at the "crisp luxury fish pie with Irish salmon, cod, and prawns in a lemon butter sauce". It was pretty bad. I took a few bites and couldn't eat much of it. Lesson learned anytime luxury is used to describe a meal it's probably not good. She doesn't eat pork or lamb. I had the lamb stew which was just ok. Pretty poor for a business class meal. The marbled orange chocolate torte for dessert was delicious.
Not sure if this is the standard menu on all of their routes but if so I was definitely let down by the main course. Also I think they should have a vegetarian pasta type dish on offer on the menu. Additionally, I'm surprised they didn't offer a chicken or beef dish as one of the options since those would be the two most common proteins.
Catering was certainly better than my DeltaOne flight from JFK to EDI on the way over though.
I cannot believe they still are serving that s*#t in J. I had that menu well over a year ago on the BOS route and it was terrible then.
I would be disappointed to get any of those 3 mains in Y let alone J. Maybe they want J customers to pay up tp get the BoB Y menu - where all three options are far better than this menu.
